Interactive Drum Kit

On this project I tried to do a interactive virtual drum kit. It was fun to try to create my own drums, even though I am not a very artistic person. I think for someone like me, my animation came out pretty good. It wasn't so hard to make the figures move but I had to keep up with the instructions because sometimes they can be confusing at times. Over all I think it was a good learning experience because I learned how to put sounds into my animation. 

Math Fair Animation

In this project, we had to create an animation for our annual math fair. We had to create it in Flash using the tools that we have been learning in class. I worked with my partner, Diana, to make this animation. It was a fun activity because we got to learn to make new cool things. Even though we had to learn how to do certain things like masking, I think overall it was a good experience. The most difficult part in our project that I faced was getting the 3D rotation to work properly and after playing around with it I finally was able to get it to work how I wanted.Another difficulty we had was to make our animations last long enough to meet the requirements of our project. We also had to find a way to make all our backgrounds a different color even though, they all had to be the same in order for the animations to work. My partner and I tried to be as creative as we could to make this a good animation. We really put effort into it and I think we did a good job.

Flash Animated Face Expressions

This week in Web design I created various face expression in flash. It was fun creating different face expressions that I didn't even know I could make. The only difficult part I encountered during this project was running out of face expression ideas but I used Google to get some ideas. Over all i had fun looking at what I created. Something new I learned was creating a swf file so I could post my final product here on my blog. This project was fun, the only thing I didn't like a lot was that it was tedious but only because I wanted my faces to not be so simple. I would do something like this again though but I would take more time so I could get them perfect or as perfect as I can. i would definitely recommend doing this project to learn more things in flash. 

Moving Stickfigure Animation

On this project of flash I created my first stick figure in flash. It was fun to create my own moving stick figure, although it has kind of hard thinking of what movements I wanted the stick figure to do. I think my stick figure looks funny because it's doing random stuff, it probably looks like its a crazy maniac. One cool thing I learned was to slow down the movements of my stick figure because it was going really fast at first but I had to add frames to make it slow down. I'm happy with my results even though my stick figure isn't doing much, just moving his arms and legs.

Moving Objects in Flash

On this project I learned how to move multiple objects on flash. It was tricky at first because you have to do various steps for your animation to work. It was cool watching the final product and see what I was able to do. I learned how to use new tools while doing project like the motion tween. I hope the next project I do will be easier. I think this project has really helped explore flash a little bit more. It's always fun to learn new things because then I could do something maybe better in the future just for fun.

Flash Drawing Tools

This week I learned how to use flash drawing tools. I learned to manipulate the tools better so I could make certain drawings. I think it was really fun creating this project because it wasn't really hard and I learned new things like separating text so I could manipulate each letter how ever I want. I think for me the best part of this project was manipulating the letter so they could look how ever I wanted them to. I also liked to use the sub-selection tool to manipulate all the figures I created. I also learned you can create various things using the flash tools. I would say that by doing this project I definitely learned how to use the flash tools better than before and it was also a good experience to learn to manipulate the tools better. I can say I didn't struggle a lot doing this project.

Windows Movie Maker

This week during web design we learned how to use windows movie maker to improve our pivot animation. I think it was really cool creating my own movie; learning how to add music and sound effects to my movie. I learned that it takes time to create even a short movie because you have to be precise with your timing. I had a hard time putting the sound effects at the perfect timing with my animation. Despite this difficulty I overcame, I think doing this movie was a great experience.

Pivot Free Runner

I liked using pivot animator to create my animation. It was really fun to do this animation. While working on this animation I realized that its not so easy to make the stick figure move, you have to create various slides for it to look like you want it to and look realistic. Even though it took a while to get it like I want it to, I still think it was fun creating my animation. I think this is something I would like to do again and see if I can make it better.

History of Animation

This week in web design we have been learning about animation. One thing I learned that I never knew before was that animation has been around for a really long time. I learned that with the new technology, that people have created, it has made it easier to make animations work better and look like the animations we all know today. I also learned that the first cartoons to come out didn't have any sound. When they started to have sound, there still wasn't any vocalization in them.
