Marketing Yourself on the Web

In Ms. Butera's Web Design class I learned how to market myself on the web. I learned to do this by creating an E-portfolio on wiki spaces. On my wiki spaces I was able to put information about and a way that people can contact me. I also made a profile on LinkedIn to promote myself.

Photoshop

In Photoshop I learned how to create my own header and logo. I also learned how to crop images using the magnetic lasso tool. At first I had a hard time using this tool but I got better at it by practicing. My favorite activity in Photoshop was creating my myth picture by mixing and matching different pictures together.

History of the World Wide Web

In this assignment, using dipity, I have learned how to embed my timeline into my blog. An obstacle I have faced during this assignment are trying to find interesting facts about the history of the world wide web. I have learned new things abut computers and the web during this assignment that I didn't know about before.

Blogs of Interest

I researched blogs about travels. A particular blog I found really interesting was Euro Trip Tips. I liked the authors tips and really beautiful pictures that she posted. I think people who are thinking of traveling to Europe or just people who want to know more about Europe for future references could benefit from this.

What I've Learned About Blogs

I've learned that a blog is a web page where a person can post personal things. People can post their own opinions, experiences and pictures. I've also learned that there are various types of blogs a person can have. For example someone can have a sports, travel, fashion, science, or basically a blog about anything you would want to post stuff about. A blog can also be used by businesses or companies to advertise their products and try to exceed their sales.
